Hahnemühle Photo Rag® Pearl and Sugar Cane are both high-quality FineArt inkjet papers, each with its own unique characteristics. Photo Rag® Pearl belongs to the glossy paper category, while Sugar Cane is part of the eco-friendly Natural Line collection.
Photo Rag® Pearl is a 100% cotton, natural white paper with a pearl-gloss finish that enhances depth and contrast in prints. Its smooth and even surface texture ensures sharp details and rich tones.
Sugar Cane is a more environmentally friendly option, made from 70% sugar cane fibers and 30% cotton. Its warm-toned, felt-like texture and matte surface particularly enhance warm colors and black-and-white prints.
Both papers are acid- and lignin-free and designed for long-term durability. However, Photo Rag® Pearl stands out with its glossy finish and subtle texture, whereas Sugar Cane offers a more natural, felt-like feel and a sustainable material composition.

Hahnemühle Sugar Cane expands the Natural Line with a FineArt paper made from a rapidly renewable natural resource—sugar cane. This eco-friendly paper consists of 70% bagasse fibers, a byproduct of sugar cane processing. The natural white, warm-toned paper contains no optical brighteners and features a unique felt-like texture with a pleasant tactile feel. Colors and details are reproduced with precision, particularly in warm tones and black-and-white prints. Acid- and lignin-free, Hahnemühle Sugar Cane meets the highest standards for longevity.
